About the role#
The University of Wyoming is seeking an intern to help document the history of the institution. You will work within the American Heritage Center to arrange and describe records held in the University Archives. This is a paid, on-site, full-time internship with a rolling application term.
What you'll do#
- Organize archival materials, including paper, photographic, audio-visual, and digital documents.
- Create catalog records, descriptive content lists, and finding aids for online publication.
- Collaborate with the University Archivist on special projects.
- Lift and move boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student at the University of Wyoming.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and writing skills equivalent to college-level coursework.
- Interest in modern history, archives, museums, and libraries.
- Physical ability to move boxes weighing between 25 lbs and 75 lbs.
