About the role#
This position offers hands-on experience within the Advanced Metering Infrastructure program at the City of Sacramento. You will divide your time between professional office tasks and field operations. The role is designed for students interested in learning how essential services are delivered through a mix of project management, inventory tracking, and customer service.
What you'll do#
- Support the general Advanced Metering Infrastructure program.
- Manage inventory and process Return Merchandise Authorization requests.
- Perform data validation and entry tasks.
- Balance administrative office duties with field operations.
- Work in various outdoor weather conditions and on uneven terrain.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a college student at an accredited institution.
- Ability to maintain minimum unit requirements for undergraduate or graduate classifications.
- Experience working outdoors or in physically active roles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data analysis.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs.
- Majors in Business Administration, Operations Management, or Supply Chain Management are preferred.

- Schedule: Flexible hours between 6:00am and 6:00pm, Monday through Friday.
