About the role#
Union Bank & Trust is looking for a Retail Banking Intern to join our team in Lincoln, Nebraska. This 90-day program offers hands-on experience in retail banking operations. You will support our branch team while learning about financial products, bank policies, and customer service. This is a part-time position requiring 20 to 25 hours per week. There is a possibility of a permanent position after the program ends.
What you'll do#
- Process routine financial transactions accurately.
- Manage your cash drawer and follow proper balancing procedures.
- Provide customer service and resolve basic inquiries.
- Cross-promote bank services to help meet management goals.
- Complete training on compliance, fraud prevention, and financial regulations.
- Follow bank policies and internal controls.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma.
- Current enrollment in a college degree program, specifically in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
- Prior experience in customer service or cash handling.
- Basic math skills and computer proficiency.
- A valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to stand or walk for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
