Intern Diesel Mechanic

About the role#

This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the construction equipment rental industry. Interns will work alongside experienced professionals to support branch operations and develop the skills necessary for future roles as service technicians. This position is intended for individuals currently pursuing a technical degree or certification in a mechanical field.

What you'll do#

• Learn the various types of equipment available for rent and understand their specific applications.
• Perform manual and maintenance tasks to support daily branch operations.
• Provide labor assistance to seasoned mechanics during equipment servicing.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to all clients.
• Challenge yourself to develop technical skills with the goal of transitioning into a service technician role upon completion of your degree or certification.

What you'll need#

• High school diploma or GED.
• Currently pursuing a technical degree or certification in mechanical engineering, automotive, diesel, or a related field.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and foundational knowledge of tools and equipment.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Self-motivated approach with a strong sense of urgency.
• Strong teamwork, customer service, and communication skills.
