About the role#
United Rentals is hiring a Sales Intern for our Broussard, Louisiana location. This is a paid, full-time, on-site role. You will learn the sales process by shadowing inside and outside sales teams with a focus on customer service. We aim to prepare interns for a future career as a Sales Associate upon graduation.
What you'll do#
- Shadow inside and outside sales representatives to understand their daily responsibilities.
- Complete safety training and follow all equipment handling policies.
- Assist customers directly in the yard.
- Participate in departmental meetings, ride-alongs, and conference calls.
- Learn to use internal systems including RentalMan and Salesforce.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a BA or BS degree program in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Psychology, or a related sales field.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Prior relevant work experience is preferred.
