About the role#
We are seeking a Digital Solutions Intern to join our team in Northbrook, Illinois. This is a full-time, paid internship focused on real-world projects in AI safety, robotics, and cybersecurity. You will work on a 10-12 week project while gaining exposure to professional networking and development opportunities.
What you'll do#
- Support projects and service development related to AI safety, robotics, cybersecurity, and physical AI.
- Conduct technical research on emerging technologies, industry standards, and regulations.
- Assist consultants with safety, AI, and assurance activities.
- Develop reports, presentations, workshops, and client deliverables.
- Contribute to building capabilities in advanced mobility, robotics, and safety assurance.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program in a technical discipline.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of software, AI, robotics, electronics, or intelligent systems.
- Experience with Python, MATLAB/Simulink, AI frameworks, and robotics tools.
- Demonstrated software development experience through academic, personal, or research projects.
- Application-level AI/ML knowledge and a safety assurance mindset.
- Interest in safety-critical systems and industrial automation.
- Completion of at least one or two hands-on software development projects.
- A portfolio on platforms like GitHub or GitLab is an advantage.
Location & details#
- Location: Northbrook, Illinois (On-site).
- Compensation: $20.00-$25.00 per hour.
- Term: Rolling.
- Note: Qualified candidates may be eligible for a sign-on bonus to assist with relocation expenses, subject to terms and conditions.
