About the role#
As a Tax Intern, you will gain hands-on experience preparing business and individual tax returns. You will work with a diverse client base across various industries while collaborating with our internal teams to produce high-quality work. This role is designed to help you build technical skills and grow as a professional.
What you'll do#
- Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships.
- Use tax software to input data and calculate liabilities, deductions, and credits.
- Conduct research to interpret and apply tax laws, regulations, and guidelines.
- Analyze financial statements to identify tax-saving opportunities and compliance issues.
- Communicate with clients to gather information and address their inquiries.
- Maintain organized tax files and ensure adherence to filing deadlines.
- Collaborate with team members to share insights and support senior staff on complex projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in accounting or finance.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- 0 to 1 year of relevant experience.
- A High School Diploma or GED.
