About the role#
As an Audit Intern, you will gain practical experience in audit and assurance. You will work alongside experienced professionals on real-world audit engagements, contributing to the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting for our clients.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with audit teams on data entry, documentation preparation, and basic financial analysis.
- Assist with audit procedures, including substantive and control testing.
- Maintain audit files and documentation to ensure they are accurate and organized.
- Prepare workpapers and audit reports.
- Compile financial data and transactions for audit analysis.
- Participate in analytical procedures to identify trends and anomalies.
- Use audit software to input data and extract reports.
- Communicate project updates and insights to your team.
- Highlight discrepancies or concerns to senior auditors.
- Participate in training sessions and seek guidance from team members.
- Uphold firm ethical standards and maintain a professional work ethic.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certificate.
- 0 to 1 year of relevant experience.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Ability to sit at a desk and work at a computer for long periods.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
