About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in West Des Moines, Iowa. You will work on-site to prepare business and individual tax returns while gaining exposure to clients across various industries. This role offers the chance to work alongside tax professionals to build your technical skills and gain professional experience.
What you'll do#
- Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other entities.
- Conduct tax research to interpret and apply relevant tax laws, regulations, and guidelines.
- Communicate with clients to gather information and address tax-related inquiries.
- Ensure all tax filings are accurate and submitted by required deadlines.
- Collaborate with internal team members to share insights and best practices.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in accounting or finance.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Actively working toward CPA or Enrolled Agent licensure.
- 0 to 1 year of relevant experience.
- A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent certificate.
