About the role#
This 10-week paid internship offers foundational experience in information security within the banking sector. You will participate in a mix of on-the-job training, mentorship, and peer networking. The program provides a pathway to the full-time Information Security Rotation Program upon graduation.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to information security initiatives that impact the business.
- Develop an understanding of banking technology and security practices.
- Build technical and business skills through training and exposure to senior executives.
- Engage with a community of peers through social events, volunteer days, and workshops.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, computer engineering, management information systems, or a related field.
- Target graduation date of December 2027 or spring 2028.
- A basic understanding of information security concepts through relevant coursework or projects, such as network security, cloud computing, or cryptography.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-discipline team.
- Analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Demonstrated experience with grit, customer experience, and comfort with urgency.
Location & details#
- Location: Cincinnati, Ohio.
- Start Date: June 7, 2027.
- Modality: Hybrid (requires working from a U.S. Bank location at least three days per week).
- Hours: Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week.
- Compensation: $20.00 - $26.39 per hour.
