About the role#
Turner Construction Company is hiring an IS Services & Support Intern or Co-Op to work at our Halethorpe, Maryland location. You will support our Information Services team with system maintenance, workflow analysis, and cybersecurity protocols. This position involves working at either our main office or an active construction site. You will report to a supervisor, apply your academic knowledge to real projects, and learn internal IS practices.
What you'll do#
- Provide technical support by troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Manage IS assets including hardware, software licenses, and network devices.
- Deploy hardware and install software for office and jobsite setups.
- Create and update user guides, troubleshooting documentation, and inventory records.
- Test and validate new software, system updates, and configurations.
- Develop training materials to help end users navigate IS systems.
- Collaborate with teams on system upgrades, migrations, and technology implementations.
- Respond to support tickets and assist with daily IS operations.
- Follow safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment when working on construction sites.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Cybersecurity.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems.
- Understanding of information systems and cybersecurity protocols.
- Ability to build professional relationships with employees, clients, and subcontractors.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from your supervisor.
