About the role#
TRUMPF is hiring a Production Planning Intern to join our team in Farmington, Connecticut. This is a paid, on-site internship running from January 2027 through August 2027. You will work at least 24 hours per week supporting our production planning operations.
What you'll do#
- Assist the Production Planning team with new product introductions.
- Manage material set up and handle BOM allocations.
- Create and maintain performance metrics for the supply chain, including tracking on-time delivery, shipments, container bookings, and vessel delays.
- Optimize purchasing parameters within SAP.
- Build tools and workflows to evaluate and maintain pre-planning parameters.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Industrial, Mechanical, Computer, or Manufacturing Engineering degree program.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as VBA or C#.
- Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail.
- Ability to communicate well and work effectively as part of a team.
