About the role#
Troon is hiring an Operations Assistant Intern to support public tailgating operations on the North Oval at the University of Oklahoma. This role focuses on gameday execution and fan experience. You will work on-site in Norman, Oklahoma, and must be available for all seven University of Oklahoma home games.
What you'll do#
- Manage public tailgates and interact with tailgaters to ensure a positive experience.
- Assist tailgaters with unloading personal equipment.
- Oversee event staff, including access control, emergency response, and security personnel.
- Collect and analyze key tailgate metrics.
- Coordinate with vendors to maintain service quality.
- Handle operational tasks such as signage and equipment setup.
- Observe the fan experience and suggest improvements.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to perform manual labor and lift 40 pounds.
- Current enrollment in a Business Administration or Operations Management program is preferred.
- Availability to work long hours during home game weeks.
