Golf Operations Internship

About the role#

The Golf Operations Internship at The Ocean Course at Hokuala provides hands-on experience in high-level hospitality and golf management. This full-time, paid position involves rotating through various operational areas, including the golf shop, guest relations, and outside services, to ensure a high standard of service for all members and guests.

What you'll do#

• Administer point of sale applications for green fees, merchandise sales, and member or guest billing.
• Reconcile daily tee sheets, manage guest check-ins, and process payments.
• Resolve billing discrepancies, including duplicate charges or payment errors, and track no-show fees.
• Assist in the development of lesson plans and provide both individual and group golf instruction.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked golf shop environment.
• Prepare for golf outings by coordinating scorecards, cart labels, pairing sheets, and hole assignments.
• Follow standard opening and closing procedures while adhering to safe work practices.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a PGA Golf Management Program or Associate Education.
• Current PGA or LPGA membership.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience working with computerized point of sale (POS) and tee time systems.
• Ability to read and speak English to effectively communicate with guests and co-workers.
• Background in Kinesiology, Business Administration, or Marketing is preferred.
