About the role#
This 10-week paid internship offers a rotation through all facets of property management, including leasing, maintenance, operations, and management. You will work under the guidance of a senior mentor and participate in hands-on projects to gain experience in the multifamily industry.
What you'll do#
- Practice sales techniques and conduct in-house and offsite marketing.
- Develop marketing analysis reports and complete market surveys.
- Learn and use industry software programs to manage daily tasks.
- Participate in property tours and site visits.
- Process maintenance requests and learn maintenance management techniques.
- Provide customer service to residents and resolve complaints.
- Assist with the leasing process and review financial move-out procedures.
- Process accounts receivable and maintain digital and paper records.
- Complete pre-inspections to ensure units are rent-ready.
- Assist with legal eviction processes and practice critical decision-making.
- Provide general clerical and phone support while maintaining a community calendar of events.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a 4-year accredited program, preferably in Real Estate, Hospitality, or Property Management.
- Completion of sophomore year and at least one year of work or extracurricular experience are preferred.
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to perform intermediate mathematical functions and use resident management software.
- Strong communication, administrative, and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and handle stress effectively.
- Knowledge of fair housing laws.
- Fluency in reading and writing English.

- Compensation: $19 to $23 per hour.
