About the role#
The Biomedical Engineering Intern position provides on-the-job training at a hospital in New Bedford, Massachusetts. You will work under the supervision of TRIMEDX management to gain practical experience in clinical, lab, and radiology engineering. This is a full-time, paid, on-site role with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Shadow experienced clinical, biomedical, lab, and radiology engineers to learn daily operations in a hospital setting.
- Respond to service calls and manage your daily workload.
- Perform preventative maintenance procedures and inventory validation.
- Document repairs and maintenance work orders.
- Assist with vendor management, equipment calibration, and troubleshooting.
- Receive training on electrical safety and equipment repair.
- Work alongside technicians in a real-time service environment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an associate degree, technical degree, or the TRIMEDX Trained Certification program (or an equivalent biomedical certification).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Interpersonal and customer service abilities.
- A valid driver's license.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment screening, including a background check and drug test.
- Previous experience with biomedical equipment in a clinical engineering environment is preferred.

- Compensation: $20 per hour.
