About the role#
This is a 12-month, full-time Engineering and R&D internship focused on mechanical design. You will work on-site in Pickering, Ontario, starting in the Fall of 2026.
What you'll do#
- Create 3D models and 2D drawings for parts, assemblies, and final products.
- Perform seismic calculations following IEEE 693 standards and internal procedures.
- Update and maintain the seismic calculation database for instrument transformers.
- Manage quality control for Bills of Material to verify part numbers, quantities, and material types.
- Revise material descriptions in SAP to meet internal company standards.
- Help develop and update specifications for raw materials and components.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Mechanical Engineering program.
- Proficiency with 3D modeling software, specifically SolidWorks.
- Familiarity with Autodesk Inventor.
- An understanding of seismic calculation procedures.
- Experience working with SAP systems.
