About the role#
Trench Group is looking for a Strategic Procurement Intern for a 12-month contract. You will work on-site in Pickering, Ontario. This is a paid, full-time position focused on supporting our procurement and sourcing operations.
What you'll do#
- Develop strategic sourcing plans and negotiation strategies.
- Review and negotiate supplier adjustment requests and payment terms.
- Prepare and issue bid solicitation packages while ensuring compliance.
- Coordinate RFQ requirements and project demand activities with planning and engineering teams.
- Manage supplier relationships through performance reviews and KPI tracking, including quality metrics and delivery times.
- Facilitate the onboarding of new suppliers and handle SAP vendor setup.
- Execute Non-Disclosure Agreements and assist with the preparation of commercial contracts.
- Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures to ensure operational consistency.
What you'll need#
- Current studies in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or Logistics.
- Experience with negotiating payment terms and adjustment requests.
- Ability to manage project qualification activities and align stakeholders.
- Proficiency in coordinating RFQ requirements and project demand.
- Understanding of supplier relationship management and KPI performance reviews.
