About the role#
The IT Summer Internship is an 11-week program for students interested in a career in information technology. You will work alongside experienced professionals to contribute to technology initiatives and apply your classroom knowledge to real-world business challenges. This role offers exposure to software engineering, data and analytics, infrastructure, information security, and technical support.
What you'll do#
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and technology issues for end users and business operations.
- Support software development projects through coding, testing, debugging, and application enhancements.
- Assist with data analysis, reporting, and identifying insights to support business decisions.
- Gain exposure to network infrastructure and server administration tasks, including maintenance and monitoring.
- Support cybersecurity initiatives and learn processes to identify, assess, and mitigate technology risks.
- Collaborate with IT and cross-functional partners on technology projects and process improvements.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or a related field.
- A foundational understanding of technology concepts, systems, software, or programming.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to relocate to the Greater Nashville Area for the duration of the internship.
