The IT Help Desk Intern will join the team for a 9-week, paid program during Summer 2026. This role provides hands-on experience in a professional agency environment, focusing on technical support and hardware management. The internship runs from June 16, 2026, to August 14, 2026, with a maximum of 25 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Act as the first point of contact for technical requests via Slack, email, and in-person inquiries.
- Assist with the setup, imaging, and configuration of workstations, with a primary focus on macOS.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to hardware, such as laptops and printers, and software, including Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft 365.
- Ensure conference room AV technology is operational and software is up to date.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of hardware, peripherals, and software licenses.
What you'll need#
- Foundational understanding of macOS and Windows operating systems.
- Ability to approach technical challenges with logic and patience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Effective time management skills to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
- A proactive, collaborative attitude and a willingness to learn from the senior IT team.
- Current enrollment in a relevant field, including Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Business Administration, Communications, Media Studies, Human Resources, Logistics, or Psychology.
