Product Design Intern

About the role#

As a Product Design Intern, you will focus on creating scalable and reusable components that power the Tixr ecosystem. You will work alongside product designers and engineers to maintain high-quality UI libraries, ensuring consistency, accessibility, and efficiency across all platforms. This role is a full-time, paid position for Summer 2026.

What you'll do#

• Design and maintain reusable components and patterns for Tixr’s design system.
• Document design decisions and create guidelines to support system adoption.
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure seamless implementation of designs across platforms.
• Maintain high standards for usability, accessibility, and technical precision.
• Create UX prototypes to align product vision across the organization.
• Establish processes for updating and managing system components.
• Drive data-driven UX decisions through research and partner with internal teams to identify innovation opportunities.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a four-year university or graduate program.
• Experience designing and shipping products, specifically with Atomic Design Principles or design systems.
• Proficiency in Figma and design thinking/visual design skills.
• Experience with design handoff, documentation, and prototyping.
• Familiarity with AI design tools, React, HTML, CSS, and Figma Dev Mode is preferred.
• Preference for degrees in HCI, HCDE, Cognitive Science, Human Factors, Computer Science, Graphic Design, or Human Resources.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Must be a US Citizen or active US Green Card holder.

Location & details#

• This role is remote with an optional, welcomed on-site presence at the Santa Monica, California office.
• Teams primarily operate on West Coast hours.
