About the role#
This internship runs from January to June 2027. You will work on projects that research, design, develop, install, and test lighting for Disney attractions, restaurants, and merchandise areas. This is a full-time, on-site role based in either Anaheim, California, or Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
What you'll do#
- Develop designs for show lighting under supervision.
- Prepare basic lighting design and assist with field implementation.
- Troubleshoot and install existing lighting in a construction environment.
- Provide general support to the Lighting Design team.
- Manage inventory for equipment and supplies as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Junior or higher in an accredited college or university.
- A major in Architecture, Art, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with theatrical or architectural lighting.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Computer literacy with MS Office products.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a technical team.
- A valid driver's license.
- Unrestricted work authorization and the ability to provide reliable transportation to work.
Location & details#
- Locations: Anaheim, CA or Lake Buena Vista, FL.
- Pay rate: $26.50 per hour for undergraduate students or $27.50 per hour for graduate students.
- Duration: January to June 2027.
- You must be at least 18 years old and fully available for the duration of the program.
