About the role#
The Physical Production team within Walt Disney Studios manages the creation, production, and distribution of live-action motion pictures. This full-time internship provides a broad look at feature film production from the studio perspective. You will report to the Manager of Physical Production and interact with departments including Finance, Legal, Creative, Post Production, and VFX.
What you'll do#
- Support production phases across Development, Production, and Post Production.
- Manage and monitor Below the Line contracts.
- Participate in Research and Development projects, such as creating set lists, tracking crew availability, comparing scripts, and collecting location packages.
- Organize and maintain digital files and assets on the department server and database.
- Help coordinate and attend internal studio and production meetings.
- Provide general office support, including answering phones, restocking supplies, and basic tech assistance.
- Assist as a production assistant on local film shoots when needed.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience working in collaborative environments and managing multiple projects.
- Ability to research information and present findings using various tools.
- Strong computer skills related to spreadsheets, databases, and presentations.
- Senior year education level is preferred.
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university, or participation in a Disney program.
- Major or coursework in Media Studies, Film, Television, or Visual Effects Production.
Location & details#
- Location: Burbank, California.
- Term: Full-time for six months, from October 2026 through June 2027.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Pay: $22.50 per hour.
- Requirements: Interns must provide their own housing and reliable transportation to and from work.
