    About the role#

    This internship supports the Lighting Design Team in creating and producing live entertainment for parades, stage shows, and special events. You will work on projects across Disney properties, ensuring all technical materials meet company standards. This is a full-time, paid position based in Orlando, Florida, running from January 2027 to June 2027.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist lighting designers with the technical and creative production process.
    • Produce design intent documentation and light plots.
    • Provide technical drawing support using Vectorworks and ConnectCAD.
    • Conduct design and technical research.
    • Partner with cross-functional groups, including safety, production, and facility teams.
    • Attend and contribute to department and project production meetings.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment as a junior, senior, or graduate student in a technical theater or related degree program.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Vectorworks.
    • Working knowledge of lighting technology and supporting equipment.
    • A valid US driver's license and the ability to operate a company vehicle.
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to manage your own time.
    • Ability to maintain a consistent work schedule and follow appearance guidelines.

    • Modality: On-site.
    • Pay: $22.00 per hour.
