About the role#
This internship offers hands-on experience with the Eyewitness News Morning team and the Special Projects unit. You will learn the daily operations of news production in a collaborative environment. The program runs from January 2027 through early June 2027.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate guest appearances for Eyewitness News Morning broadcasts and streaming newscasts, including tracking arrivals and assisting with studio setup.
- Support producers, anchors, and the morning news team with daily production tasks and newsroom operations.
- Collaborate with the Special Projects team to research, pitch, and develop story ideas for daily and long-form coverage.
- Scout social media platforms for content ideas involving consumer, entertainment, and investigative pieces.
- Assist with social media content creation.
- Log interviews and identify key soundbites for use in broadcast, digital, and streaming content.
What you'll need#
- Basic knowledge of television production and newsroom workflows.
- Familiarity with major social media platforms and digital content trends.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Teams, or other collaboration tools.
- High attention to detail and experience multitasking.
- Enrolled in an accredited college or university, with Junior or Senior year preferred.
- Previous experience in journalism, television production, or script writing is a plus.
- Completed coursework in producing, writing, or editing.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and possess unrestricted work authorization.
- You must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program.
Location & details#
- This role is located in Glendale, California.
- The schedule is Monday through Friday, 4am to 12pm PT.
- This is a full-time, paid internship at $18.47 per hour.
- You must provide your own housing and reliable transportation for the duration of the program.
