About the role#
KABC-TV (ABC7) is an ABC owned television station based in Glendale, California. This internship provides an on-site educational experience within a major market news environment. You will observe and participate in daily operations, focusing on entertainment news and the On The Red Carpet brand. The program runs from January 2027 through early June 2027.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with show producers to research stories, coordinate interviews, and assist with studio and field production.
- Support post-production tasks, including logging, transcribing interviews, and editing content.
- Contribute to the On The Red Carpet social media strategy by creating content and managing platform engagement.
- Write articles and produce video content for publication on the ABC7 website.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university, with preference for Junior or Senior standing.
- Coursework in Film and Television, Communications, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience editing video using Adobe Premiere.
- Knowledge of social media platforms and content creation.
- Previous experience in journalism, television production, or news script writing is a plus.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and possess unrestricted work authorization.
- Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program.

- Location: Glendale, California.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week. Availability may include nights and weekends.
- Compensation: $18.47 per hour.
- Requirements: Interns must provide their own housing and reliable transportation.
