About the role#
This internship supports the Lighting Design team in creating entertainment experiences for stage shows, parades, and special events. You will work on-site in Orlando, Florida, from January 2027 through June 2027. This is a full-time, paid position.
What you'll do#
- Support lighting designers throughout the technical and creative production process.
- Produce design documentation, light plots, and design intent materials.
- Provide technical drawing support using Vectorworks and ConnectCAD.
- Conduct design and technical research to support project needs.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including safety, production, facility, and design staff.
- Attend and contribute to department and project production meetings.
What you'll need#
- You must be a junior, senior, or graduate student pursuing a degree in Theater (technical) or a related field.
- Proficiency with Vectorworks, Microsoft Office, Photoshop, and Illustrator is required.
- Strong knowledge of lighting technology and supporting equipment.
- Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- A valid US driver’s license and the ability to operate a company vehicle.
- You must be at least 18 years old and possess unrestricted work authorization.
