    About the role#

    The Costume Design and Development team supports the creation of operational costumes for Disney parks and resorts. As an intern, you will work alongside Costume Development Managers, designers, and production teams to help bring these projects to life. This role involves daily collaboration with various departments and requires a high level of attention to detail.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist managers and designers with new project tasks, including research and presentation support for operational teams.
    • Attend production meetings, vendor meetings, and costume fittings.
    • Support the development process by creating garment technical packages and performing spec development.
    • Coordinate sample reviews and maintain documentation systems.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently enrolled as a Senior or Graduate student in Business, Fashion Design, Merchandising, Costume Design, or a related field.
    • Working knowledge of textiles and garment construction.
    • Strong analytical, financial, and project management skills.
    • Proficiency in Excel and a willingness to learn new software.
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage confidential information.
    • A portfolio featuring your best 10 pieces of artwork is required for consideration.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
    • Term: Winter 2027 (January to June).
    • Pay: $22.00 per hour.
    • Requirements: You must be at least 18 years old, possess unrestricted work authorization, and hold a valid US driver's license with the ability to operate a company vehicle. You must also maintain a consistent work schedule, provide your own reliable transportation, and follow The Disney Look appearance guidelines.
