About the role#
The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) team at Walt Disney World Resort works within the Public Affairs division to address community needs. This team manages initiatives ranging from granting wishes for children to coordinating volunteer efforts and financial investments. As an intern, you will contribute to these efforts by supporting project management, research, and event execution.
What you'll do#
- Research and track issues relevant to Walt Disney World operations.
- Engage with community nonprofits to identify their challenges and barriers.
- Connect Disney resources with community needs through internal processes.
- Plan and execute special events, Disney VoluntEARS activities, campaigns, and drives with internal and external partners.
- Develop creative content to share the Disney CSR story and raise awareness for supported causes.
- Manage sensitive information with discretion.
- Complete additional projects as assigned by External Affairs leadership.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited college or university, with a preference for Junior or Senior standing.
- Pursuit of a degree in fields such as Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Political Science, or Public Health.
- Current enrollment in at least one class or active participation in a Disney College Program or Internship.
- Age 18 or older with unrestricted work authorization.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once and work effectively with diverse groups.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 or MAC OS environments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills alongside analytical problem-solving abilities.
- Preference for candidates with volunteer experience, a background in youth education, or professional writing experience.
- Preference for candidates with skills in designing collateral and presentations.
- Must not have completed one year of continuous employment on a Disney Internship or College Program.
Location & details#
- Location: Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January 2027 through June 2027).
- Modality: On-site, full-time (40 hours per week).
- Availability: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with potential for weekend or off-hour shifts.
- Requirements: Must provide own housing and reliable transportation. Must align with Disney Look appearance guidelines.
