About the role#
This internship supports the frontline team at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park or Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. You will work alongside Education Coordinators to create guest experiences focused on conservation and culture. The term runs from January 2027 through June 2027.
What you'll do#
- Mentor a team of Education Presenter interns and International Cultural Representatives.
- Support onstage operations using active communication and problem-solving.
- Coordinate and implement projects designed to sustain and improve the guest experience.
- Interact with guests through formal presentations, one-on-one interactions, and Magical Moments.
What you'll need#
- Prior experience engaging with the public in a learning setting, such as a zoo, aquarium, museum, science center, or classroom.
- At least 3 months of formal or informal leadership experience.
- Must have participated in an Animals, Science and Environment Professional Internship or Walt Disney World College Program prior to applying.
- A valid U.S. driver’s license and the ability to operate a company vehicle during inclement weather.
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Biology, Environmental Engineering, Communications, Psychology, or related fields.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid position based in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
- This role is on-site and requires full availability for the duration of the internship, typically 40 hours per week.
- The pay rate for this role is $23.60 per hour.
