This paid, part-time internship offers an inside look at the film distribution industry. You will support the department responsible for licensing and exhibition, managing theater bookings, and coordinating with exhibitors across the country. The role requires a minimum commitment of 15 hours per week, with standard team hours from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM EST.
What you'll do#
- Create and manage a high volume of booking records in Airtable.
- Review and maintain various spreadsheets for accuracy.
- Coordinate the timely fulfillment of film materials, such as DCPs and Blu-rays, to exhibitors.
- Manage the shipment of in-theater promotional materials like posters and postcards.
- Maintain the bookings calendar and pull pre-sale ticketing reports.
- Assist with the creation of sales materials, including pitch decks and email newsletters.
- Monitor performance metrics, new releases, and industry trends.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Airtable, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Strong organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail.
- Strong writing skills.
- An interest in data analysis and film industry operations.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications.
- Knowledge of the film catalog is a plus.

- Location: New York, New York.
- Modality: Hybrid (requires at least one day per week in the office).
- Term: Summer 2026 through January 2027.
- Compensation: $20 per hour; school credit is also available.
