About the role#
Toho International is looking for a Social Media Intern to join the marketing team for the summer of 2026. This role offers hands-on experience with content creation, social media reporting, and influencer relations. You will work closely with the Social Media Marketer to develop campaigns and support the Godzilla and TOHO animation brands.
What you'll do#
- Pitch new content ideas weekly based on brand priorities, trends, and cultural moments.
- Film and edit short-form videos for Godzilla and TOHO animation STORE US channels.
- Edit videos by adding music and on-screen captions.
- Write captions for social media posts.
- Schedule posts using tools like Hootsuite.
- Publish content directly to platforms including Instagram Stories, X, and IG polls.
- Maintain the social media calendar and assist with performance reporting.
- Compile social media analytics after campaigns and provide biweekly social listening reports.
- Find and communicate with potential influencer partners.
- Support the marketing team with on-site duties at events.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit or recent completion of a degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace, including Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
- Basic understanding of social media strategy and content creation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Experience with Canva, CapCut, or in-app editing tools is a plus.
- Previous internship experience in social or content creation is a bonus.
