Social Media Intern

About the role#

Toho International is seeking a Social Media Intern to support the Marketing team with content creation, social media reporting, and influencer relations. This role offers hands-on experience in developing and executing campaigns for the Godzilla and TOHO animation brands.

What you'll do#

• Pitch creative ideas weekly based on brand priorities, trends, and cultural moments.
• Film and edit short-form video content for Godzilla and TOHO animation STORE US channels, including adding on-screen captions and music.
• Draft captions for social media posts and assist with publishing content directly to platforms like Instagram and X.
• Schedule posts using management tools such as Hootsuite and maintain the social media calendar.
• Compile weekly and monthly performance reports and pull analytics upon campaign completion.
• Provide biweekly social listening reports on trends related to Godzilla and TOHO animation.
• Identify potential influencer partners and assist with day-to-day communications.
• Support the team with on-site event duties and general administrative tasks.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of major social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
• Basic understanding of social media strategy and content creation.
• Experience with Canva, CapCut, or in-app editing tools is a plus.
• Previous internship experience in social media or content creation is considered a bonus.

• Term: Summer 2026.
• This is a paid, part-time internship.
