About the role#
Insomniac is seeking a Public Relations Intern for the Fall 2026 term. This is a paid, on-site position based in Calabasas, California. You will support our communications team by managing media relations, tracking press coverage, and coordinating with external partners to support our festivals and events.
What you'll do#
- Draft press releases, media pitches, and various written materials.
- Assist in media relations by compiling media lists and key talking points.
- Monitor Insomniac press coverage and prepare daily reports for the team.
- Manage and update the press website with current festival information.
- Coordinate with external agencies on fact-checking and announcement schedules.
- Handle media requests for club shows and festivals.
What you'll need#
- You must be 18 years of age and currently enrolled in an accredited college, university, or trade school.
- Preferred fields of study include Public Relations, Communications, Media Studies, or English.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills are required.
- Proficiency in Google Drive is highly valued.
- Previous internship or work experience in public relations is a plus.
Location & details#
- This role is located in Calabasas, California.
- The position is on-site and requires a commitment of 18-29 hours per week.
- You must be available to work from the office at least 2-3 days per week for 6+ hours per day.
- This role does not offer visa sponsorship.
