The company was founded by Pasquale Rotella and has been based in Los Angeles since it was formed in 1993.RESPONSIBILITIES  Draft press releases, media pitches, and other written materials to effectively convey essential messages and event details to both the media and internal stakeholders. Assist in media relations efforts which include compiling media lists, crafting quotes, and key talking points. Monitor all Insomniac press coverage and compile a daily coverage report for the PR teamParticipate in department meetings and conference calls.Monitor and respond to emails received at media requests sent to for club shows and festivalsManage and maintain the press.insomniac.com site with current festival informationAssist in media request approvals and denials for all club shows and festivalsCoordinate with external agencies on tasks such as fact-checking, announcement schedules, and providing accompanying media assetsPull photo selects following concerts and branded showsGather and provide data for internal research projects and pitch decksProject-manage various other short-term assignments, as requestedPerform any other press -related duties as requestedQUALIFICATIONSMust be 18 years of age and currently enrolled in an accredited college, university or trade schoolPreferred candidates will be studying Public Relations/Communications, English, and/or entertainment-industry majors, preferably in at least their junior year of college.Previous internship or work experience in public relations and communications is a plusExcellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in using Google Drive is highly valuedMust be able to work out of Calabasas, CA office at least 2-3 days a week for 6+ hours per dayTypical commitment is 18-29 hours per weekMust have deep understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok)Must be motivated with an “Everything is possible” attitudeMust be an active problem solver, instilled with a sense of urgency for projects large and smallKnowledge of dance music and Insomniac’s brandsWORK ENVIRONMENTMust be willing to travel to work during holidays, evening and weekend hours, as required, to meet deadlinesMust be able to tolerate loud noise levels and drastic temperature climates while working on site at various event locationMust be able to work in open concept office spaceApplicants for employment in the U.S. must possess work authorization, which does not require sponsorship by Insomniac for a visa.EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITYWe aspire to build teams that reflect and support the fans and artists we serve.
