About the role#
The Film & TV Submissions Intern supports the festival team with internal operations and the submission process. This role provides hands-on experience in festival administration and requires regular interaction with filmmakers and applicants. You will work with tools like FileMaker Pro, AirTable, and ClickUp to manage data and communication. This is a paid position based in Austin, Texas.
What you'll do#
- Field broken link requests from screeners and update filmmaker contact information in the database.
- Assist the Submissions & Programming Coordinator with tracking extension requests and external email correspondence.
- Help the Senior Programming Manager update filmmaker materials.
- Support the Film & TV team with weekly screener assignments and team communications.
- Provide general internal operations support for the department.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited university or college.
- Residency in Texas.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and maintain a professional work ethic.
- Proper phone and email etiquette with strong communication skills.
- Knowledge of FileMaker Pro, Gmail, Google Workspace, and Mac computers is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: Austin, Texas (On-site).
- Schedule: 16 hours per week during core business hours of 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- Compensation: $12.00 per hour.
- Physical requirements include prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk, the ability to lift 10 pounds, and occasional work in an outdoor environment.
