About the role#
The SXSW Music Festival department is looking for interns to assist with daily operations and artist advancement. You will gain hands-on experience in the production of a large-scale music festival. This role involves data entry, administrative support, and projects related to music marketing.
What you'll do#
- Review artist applications submitted for the festival.
- Conduct A&R research and gather data.
- Update artist records with information on availability and visa status.
- Assist artists and their teams with advancing showcase performances.
- Create promotional materials such as playlists and photo collections.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university.
- Residency in Texas.
- Experience with Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and Excel.
- Background in event planning and logistics.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Attention to detail and organizational habits.
Location & details#
- Location: Austin, Texas (On-site).
- Schedule: Up to 16 hours per week for a maximum of 6 months. You must be available for 40 hours per week during the event.
- Compensation: $12.00 per hour.
- Physical requirements include working at a desk, lifting up to 15 pounds, and potential work in an outdoor environment.
