    About the role#

    The Student Office Assistant provides front-desk and administrative support for the Office of Advising Strategies. This position focuses on assisting first-time and transfer students as they navigate campus resources and services. You may occasionally work at the UNM Testing Training Center at Casas del Rio.

    What you'll do#

    • Manage high-volume foot traffic and answer inquiries for new and transfer students.
    • Provide directions and information regarding campus services.
    • Handle clerical tasks like typing, data entry, document formatting, and preparing welcome packets.
    • Assist with general office support, including filing and supply ordering.
    • Help plan, promote, and staff outreach events for transfer students.
    • Maintain the office and lobby area.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment as a student at the university.
    • Availability for shifts between 8:00 AM and 1:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
    • Preference for candidates who can work at least four days per week.
    • Majors in Business Administration, Communications, or Media Studies are preferred.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico.
    • Work Modality: On-site.
    • Schedule: Up to 20 hours per week, with shifts in 2 to 4 hour blocks.
    • Status: Paid position.
