About the role#
As a Risk Solutions Operations Business Analyst Intern, you will support strategic initiatives and operational improvements at The Hanover. You will work with cross-functional teams to analyze data, identify trends, and provide insights that help drive business decisions. This is a 10-week, full-time internship program during the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Analyze insurance data, including claims, policies, and customer feedback, to identify patterns and opportunities.
- Support the development of dashboards and reports using Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives by mapping workflows and identifying inefficiencies.
- Develop account loss trend analysis.
- Research and develop draft Risk Solutions support resources and reports.
- Assist the Operations team with assigned projects.
- Complete a capstone project and deliver a presentation to senior management on a relevant Risk Solutions topic.
- Create and present a final summary of your work to leadership at the close of the program.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelors or advanced degree program.
- Preferred fields of study include Business Administration, Economics, Data Analytics, or Information Systems.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Ability to commit to the full 10-week, full-time program.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with SQL, Power BI, or Tableau.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship.
