About the role#
This is a 12-month, full-time internship focused on creating a digital handbook for the United States and Canada Area FamilySearch Team. You will document team positions, including job descriptions, responsibilities, and competencies. You will also suggest training resources for skill development. This position is open to students currently enrolled in an educational institution or those who have graduated within the last year.
What you'll do#
- Interview employees and managers to gather information.
- Coordinate your work with your manager, Human Resources, and the content manager.
- Produce professional-level documentation of data.
- Identify and suggest resources for skill development training.
- Provide regular status updates to your manager.
What you'll need#
- Experience in technical writing and editing.
- Ability to conduct interviews and synthesize complex data.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well with people from diverse backgrounds.
- A basic understanding of project management and scheduling.
- You must be self-driven and able to work independently.
- Applicants must be members of the Church who are worthy of a temple recommend.
Location & details#
- This is a hybrid role based in Salt Lake City, Utah.
- You will work 40 hours per week.
- The schedule includes 4 days in person at the Church Office Building or FamilySearch Library and 1 day working from home.
- Parking is provided at the Conference Center.
- This is a paid position requiring a signed Paid Internship Engagement Letter.
