About the role#
Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking a Human Resources intern for our Fab 4 facility in Gresham, Oregon. This paid, part-time position offers insight into HR management, recruitment, and compliance processes. You will work approximately 15 to 20 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Process new hire paperwork and manage filing systems.
- Assist with recruiting tasks, such as phone screening and proctoring applicant testing sessions.
- Schedule and confirm candidate interviews.
- Enter data and upload personnel documents into the Workday HRIS platform.
- Prepare new hire orientation and benefit packets.
- Maintain the file room and update records.
- Represent the company at local career fairs and events.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program, preferably in Business Administration, Human Resources, or Communications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- A professional and dependable approach to work.
