About the role#
Cal Poly Pomona Enterprises hires Student Assistants to support our dining services operations. This role involves a mix of operational tasks and team coordination. You will work on-site at our Pomona campus as part of our dining team.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and build food items using standardized recipes.
- Maintain inventory levels and restock products as needed.
- Set up, break down, clean, and sanitize work stations.
- Assign daily tasks to team members and oversee their completion.
- Train staff on job duties and food safety procedures.
- Provide customer service and assist with general dining operations.
- Communicate work status updates to your supervisor.
What you'll need#
- At least 6 months of job-related experience.
- Previous experience in food service.
- A current food safety certification.
- Ability to demonstrate competencies from required training programs.
- Skills in managing multiple tasks and working independently.
- Enrollment as a student, ideally in Business Administration or a related field.
