About the role#
Cal Poly Pomona Enterprises is hiring graduate student laboratory assistants to support Animal Health Sciences teaching labs. You will work under the supervision of Dr. Vivian Nagao in the Department of Animal and Veterinary Sciences. This role involves supporting parasitology, clinical pathology, and handling labs.
What you'll do#
- Prepare slides and use microscopy equipment.
- Process blood and fluid samples.
- Handle syringes and needles.
- Maintain lab sanitation.
- Handle small and large animals.
- Operate and balance centrifuges.
- Provide general instructional support.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a graduate student in Biology or Agriculture.
- Previous experience working in a laboratory or handling animals.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Creativity and attention to detail.
- Ability to meet project deadlines.
