About the role#
Cal Poly Pomona Enterprises is hiring a Nutrition Student Assistant to join the Dining Services team at Centerpointe. This position offers students a chance to build professional skills while working in a collaborative environment. You will gain experience in food service, research, and office administration.
What you'll do#
- Assist with office tasks, tutoring, and research projects.
- Prepare and serve food, wait tables, and manage cashiering duties.
- Receive, organize, and stock inventory.
- Handle confidential materials and manage multiple projects at once.
- Communicate with individuals via phone, email, and in person.
- Provide regular status updates to your supervisor.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Cal Poly Pomona student in good academic standing.
- Major in Nutrition, Kinesiology, or a related field.
- Interest in food safety and supporting students with special dietary needs.
- Knowledge of food allergies, dietary restrictions, and how to prevent allergen cross-contact.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
