About the role#
The Office Receptionist provides front desk support for BYU-Pathway Worldwide. This is a part-time student employee position based at the Triad Center in Salt Lake City. You will serve as the first point of contact for university leadership, church officers, executives, and visitors. This role requires high visibility and the ability to manage confidential information with complete discretion.
What you'll do#
- Provide front desk support and maintain a professional public image for BYU-PW.
- Welcome high-profile guests and visitors to the Executive Office.
- Manage routine office duties including typing, filing, data entry, and ordering or restocking supplies.
- Receive, screen, and place phone calls for the Executive Office.
- Draft professional correspondence and communication.
- Schedule rooms and appointments while managing office logistics.
- Complete special projects such as research, data analysis, and report editing.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a degree-seeking student at a CES Institution (Ensign College, BYU-Pathway Worldwide, BYU, BYU-Idaho, or BYU-Hawaii Online).
- Membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and current temple-worthiness.
- Exceptional organizational, writing, grammar, and editing skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work on-site in Salt Lake City, Utah.
- Mature judgment, professional demeanor, and the ability to handle confidential information.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize competing tasks.
Location & details#
- Location: Triad Center, Salt Lake City, Utah.
- Schedule: 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
- Status: Part-time, on-site student employee.
