About the role#
This internship supports the Emergency Response and JustServe teams in their humanitarian relief, disaster response, and community engagement efforts. You will work alongside professionals to gain experience in research, project coordination, data management, and storytelling. This role contributes to projects that mobilize volunteers and support response efforts.
What you'll do#
- Review and document emergency response projects.
- Use AI tools to identify crises and update the internal Disaster Map.
- Conduct interviews to gather information.
- Compile, edit, and organize information into clear content.
- Collect and maintain information in databases.
- Create communication materials like reports, presentations, and digital content.
- Develop visual assets for outreach and storytelling.
What you'll need#
- Academic, work, or volunteer experience in emergency response, communication, marketing, humanitarian relief, project management, business administration, or program development.
- Skills in professional communication, graphic design, and technical writing.
- Ability to manage projects, organize time, and think critically.
- Experience with data analysis and team collaboration.
- Ability to use AI tools for research, analysis, and content creation.
- Membership in the Church and a current temple recommend.
Location & details#
- Location: Salt Lake City, Utah.
- Schedule: 28 hours per week, with a hybrid setup (Monday-Wednesday in office, Thursday-Friday remote).
- Duration: Approximately 9 months.
- Pay: $23 per hour.
