About the role#
The Sales & Management Intern position focuses on creating an enjoyable shopping experience for guests while learning the fundamentals of retail management. Interns work closely with the Store Manager to understand business operations, sales strategies, and leadership practices. This is an on-site, paid position that offers exposure to recruiting, merchandising, and store operations.
What you'll do#
- Greet guests with a friendly attitude and provide consistent service.
- Answer questions regarding the store and its merchandise.
- Maintain knowledge of current sales, promotions, and store policies.
- Achieve sales goals set by management.
- Assist in visual merchandise management, including display maintenance and freight handling.
- Complete leadership training modules and provide regular progress reports to management.
- Manage a specific product category by setting goals, tracking results, and educating teammates.
- Perform operational tasks such as cash register procedures, inventory handling, and facility maintenance.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in a relevant field, such as Business Administration or Marketing.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and a commitment to customer service.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Interest in a long-term commitment with the company.
- Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs.
