About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern position focuses on learning the retail business from the ground up. You will work directly with the Store Manager to understand daily operations, leadership practices, and how to create an enjoyable shopping experience for guests. This is a full-time, paid, on-site role based in Boise, Idaho.
What you'll do#
- Complete key sections of the Buckle Management Manual, including Teammate Orientation, Beginning Leadership, and Recruiting, Interviewing and Hiring.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates on the items, and tracking results.
- Perform sales, merchandising, and operational tasks such as cashiering, register procedures, and opening or closing cash drawers.
- Provide weekly reports and progress updates to the Area and District Managers.
- Assist guests with selections, wardrobing, and fitting room needs while maintaining store standards.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Operations Management, or a related field.
- No prior retail experience or training is required.
- An interest in a long-term commitment with the company.
- The ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs throughout the store and backroom.
- A flexible schedule that includes mornings, evenings, and weekends.
