About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern position focuses on learning the retail business from the ground up. You will work closely with the store manager to understand operations while contributing to the store mission of creating an enjoyable shopping experience for guests. This is a full-time, on-site internship based in Mason City, Iowa.
What you'll do#
- Complete the Teammate Orientation, Beginning Leadership, and Recruiting, Interviewing and Hiring sections of the Buckle Management Manual.
- Perform sales, merchandising, and operational tasks such as cashiering, merchandise display, and facility maintenance.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates, and tracking results.
- Provide weekly reports and progress updates to the Area Manager and District Manager.
- Develop core skills in recruiting, merchandising, and leadership.
- Participate in monthly conference calls and complete required internship assignments.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or Human Resources.
- No prior experience or training is necessary.
- You are interested in a long-term commitment with Buckle.
- You have the physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs throughout the store and backroom.
