About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern position focuses on delivering an enjoyable shopping experience for guests while gaining hands-on experience in retail operations. You will work closely with the Store Manager to understand the retail business, develop leadership skills, and learn what it takes to excel in management. This role involves a mix of sales, merchandising, and operational tasks, including managing a specific product category to set sales goals, educate teammates, and track results.
What you'll do#
- Greet guests with a friendly attitude and provide consistent service.
- Achieve personal sales-per-hour, average sales, and total net sales goals.
- Build and maintain guest relationships to develop a client-based business.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of customer service expectations to meet guest needs.
- Perform operational tasks such as cashiering, merchandise displays, and facility cleaning.
- Provide weekly reports and progress updates to the Area Manager and District Manager.
- Complete training modules from the management manual, including orientation and leadership development.
- Lead and motivate the team by tracking performance metrics for specific product categories.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in a relevant field of study, such as Business Administration or Marketing.
- An interest in a long-term commitment with the company.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
