About the role#
As a Safety Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting safety initiatives across active construction projects. You will work alongside experienced safety professionals and field teams to build a safe, healthy, and productive jobsite. This is a full-time, paid summer internship for 2027 based in Appleton, Wisconsin.
What you'll do#
- Assist with implementing and monitoring safety programs.
- Conduct site audits and inspections.
- Support incident investigations.
- Deliver training and awareness efforts.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Junior or Senior in an undergraduate program.
- Pursuing a degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Occupational Safety Management, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.
- Strong communication skills, including comfort in building relationships via phone.
- Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision.
- Goal-oriented mindset.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- High academic achievement, elected leadership experience, and prior internship experience are preferred.
