About the role#
As a Service Technician Trainee Intern, you will work at a service center to inspect, repair, and service electric vehicles. This role involves hands-on tasks and requires a team-oriented mindset. You will gain experience with vehicle technology while supporting daily service operations. This is a full-time, paid internship for the Fall 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Perform entry-level inspections, repairs, and service on electric vehicles.
- Operate various hand, power, and shop tools.
- Conduct equipment inspections, adjustments, and certifications.
- Complete Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) for new cars.
- Manage inventory, track time, and handle shop supplies and parts.
- Assist with vehicle cleanliness for customer cars.
- Support Parts and Front of House operations on a rotational basis.
What you'll need#
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair techniques.
- Current enrollment in an Automotive program is preferred.
- A valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
- Basic computer skills, including web browsers and Microsoft Office applications.
- A safety-first attitude and the ability to work well within a team.
- Familiarity with the English language.
